This site, created during the summer of 2020, features collections and exhibitions from Berea College's Special Collections and Archives. As part of a Mellon Partners for Humanities Education Collaborative Grant through Vanderbilt University, the primary goal of Appalachian Photography at Berea College is to highlight some of our unique photographic collections featuring the Appalachian Region and its culture. Currently, one collection, the Phil Primack Photographs and Papers, is viewable.
This project would not have been possible without the support from Vanderbilt University's Center for Digital Humanities. The site itself was developed in collaboration between Lori Myers-Steele (Collections Archivist at Berea College), Abby Houston (Digital Initiatives Librarian at Berea College), and the project intern, Tim O'Doherty (Berea College Student, '22).
Please feel free to contact us with any questions or suggestions. Find out more about Berea College's Special Collections and Archives and our other collections at https://libraryguides.berea.edu/archives.
